One of the best bits about staying in Morzine for our snow week was that it has such a huge variety of slopes right on its doorstep. At the start of the holiday I spent time on the Morzine side, but at the end I hung out on the Avoriaz side, which is also where I took off from for my amazing paragliding experience! The lifts for both sides leave right from the centre of town so they are both super-easy to access.
Avoriaz sits high on the hillside above Morzine so you can ski everywhere – from your hotel to the slopes to the bars! I loved the unusual architecture… these kind of reminded me of hobbit homes 🙂
As you can see, it was another stunning day in the Alps!
As a beginner, I really liked the range of slopes available in Morzine and Avoriaz – there were some absolute beginner slopes and then loads of blue runs to get my confidence up on a bit!

At the end of the day we headed to Happy Hours Bar to toast our awesome snow holiday!
