It’s a long weekend in the UK, so I’m taking the chance to tick a foodie paradise off my list. The Old Town of San Sebastián is home to a myriad of pintxos bars, each arrayed with plate loads of perfectly shaped delicacies. Prawns, salmon, chorizo, anchovies, beef cheeks, cheese cake – each has its own specialty and we are trying to sample as many as possible! Fortunately, that’s all part of the traditional txikiteo, the nightly crawl from one pintxos spot to the next. Fortunate too that San Sebastián is set around a curving bay cradled by hills, so we’ve walked off some of our excesses on the way to stunning views. The perfect way to spend a long weekend!
