My one year anniversary with London is today, and I can say for sure now that it’s love. This year has been an absolute blast, with a whole lot of highs from discovering London, to amazing trips, to incredible friends both old and new. My English cousins welcomed me with open arms and got my time here off to a flier, for which I thank them! Trips overseas soon followed, often with Stacey, Kate and Gin, as we newbies explored our new backyard of Europe.
I loved my Flat Family Christmas and my Welsh Family Christmas – both very special when I was so far from home. Already in 2014 I’ve managed trips to Edinburgh, the Canary Islands, Newcastle, Morzine, Turkey and Barcelona – such an amazing time!
There have been some negatives, of course. London is a BIG city and can feel brutal at times, and my hunt for a permanent job felt never-ending. But the highlights put the lows into perspective, and I know without a doubt that moving here is the best decision I ever made.
Now I feel like I’m settled in London, with so many fantastic friends around me and this awesome city to continue exploring. I can’t wait to see what the next year holds!
