Summer time, and the living is easy… when the sun shows up in London, that is! I deliberately kept July a bit quieter after my second dose of the Glorious Madness of Glastonbury, and with trips to Mallorca (where I am right now!), the Scottish Highlands, Dubrovnik and Ibiza all scheduled for the next six weeks. That’s not to say I stayed at home and sat on the couch – you know me better than that, right?! Here’s some of what I got up to instead.
I had a fantastic night at Dinerama to kick off the month – sadly it got taken out by fire a week ago but hopefully will be back up and running soon!
A bar for everyone
The perfect relaxing Saturday watching the Henley Rowing Regatta
An incredible Regent’s Park sunset

Both sight and smell of this perfume were glorious at 5 Senses of Turkey
These slides form part of the interactive art exhibition The Decision at Hayward Gallery and yep I screamed the whole way!
I enjoyed a blissful walk in the Surrey countryside – such a contrast to London!
It’s been a long time coming but I finally made it to The Lion King with my cousin Kathy, and enjoyed every moment!
Another stunning London morning, this time by the Serpentine in Hyde Park
Favourite posts this month:
- Eating My Way Around San Sebastian: I love my foodie posts and writing about our weekend of pintxos extravaganza in San Sebastían had me drooling into my keyboard again. Yum!
- My London Summer Hot List: I’ve picked ten activities I’d love to tick off in and around London this summer – here’s hoping I manage to fit them all in!
- On Top of the World at Pulpit Rock: This is a huge call, but this incredible day hike in Norway is officially one of the best things I’ve done since I moved to Europe just over two years ago. Check out those stunning landscapes!
As I said, August is looking a lot busier as I’m away for three weekends of the month – I’m looking forward to exploring Majorca, the Scottish Highlands, and Dubrovnik. At least I’ll be guaranteed some sunshine for two of them!
What are you planning for August?
