Mount Snowdon is Wales’ and England’s highest peak but is also a very achievable day hike. I assembled an awesome girl-gang for a very fun weekend in Wales, and we set off early armed with a ton of snacks and enthusiasm. We were rewarded with one of my favourite days out in 2016 and some spectacular views of the gorgeous Welsh countryside.
Hiking the Seven Sisters
You know those days where you feel unstoppable, blown away by the beauty of the world or just happy to be alive? My day out hiking the Seven Sisters in East Sussex brought me all these emotions, as well as a hefty dose of Vitamin D. I can’t recommend this walk highly enough – and you can make it as long or short as you like, so that just about anyone can get there and experience this beautiful part of the world.
Back to Nature in the Cascades
It was getting down to my last few days in New Zealand and my mum asked where I’d like to head. Into Devonport, for picturesque villa houses and a sea breeze? Shopping at some of my favourite New Zealand designers? Or into the bush for one last dose of glorious New Zealand nature? Unsurprisingly given the dearth of it in London, I chose the last option. Conquering Mt Maunganui
Mount Maunganui is a beautiful beach town in the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand. Like many surf spots, it has a relaxed and fun vibe – and a very healthy side too. One of the favourite morning activities of locals (aside from a surf) is to walk or run up the mountain for which the town is named. At only 20ish minutes, it’s pretty short, but MAN is it steep!
