London’s slightly cooler summer is already making me wish myself back in the tropical temperatures of Laos. The beautiful French-influenced town of Luang Prabang is tucked in the jungle in the north. I awoke early one morning to witness the daily parade of saffron-cloaked monks collecting alms at sunrise.
Travel Throwback Thursday – Vientiane
From a French icon to a French-influenced sleepy river town, which also happened to be the capital of Laos. I would have loved to spend longer here, as the mix of colonial heritage and a country that is just at the beginning of its growth was intriguing.
We discovered these young boys having an intense soccer match in Nam Phou square. Despite their jandal goal posts, their skills were impressive and they seemed tireless!
