I expected a week sailing Sicily’s Aeolian Islands with Medsailors to include lots of beautiful islands, gorgeous swim spots and relaxation galore. I didn’t expect the volcanic eruptions, amazing vineyard, colourful villages and mind-blowing panoramas – but they definitely made my trip even more special!

Tales of the Amalfi Coast’s sun-soaked beaches and gorgeous colourful villages perched on cliffs high above a turquoise sea had meant that it was always a destination high on my Travel Wishlist. Fortunately, Laura decided it was the perfect spot to celebrate her birthday, giving us the impetus to hire a lovely villa and finally wander those little alleyways in person.
