Happy New Year! Another year, another year of travel plans to make! I had a whole bunch of amazing adventures in 2016, and I’m excited to have a whole bunch more in 2017. The only question is, as ever – how to narrow it down? Here’s my wishes for what 2017 might hopefully hold for me.
My Favourite Adventures of 2016
I think most would agree that 2016 has not been the greatest of years, on the world stage. With all the crazy and the sadness, travel was more than just a distraction – for me this year it had the power to inspire as well as entertain. This, I am well aware, is a privilege many do not have.
I may have travelled overseas “less”, by the fairly high standards set in my first few years living here, but I still managed to have plenty of adventures… here are some of my favourites!
20 Amazing Experiences in my 20s
Climbing mountains, incredible friendships, sailing clear blue waters, epic music festivals, drifting in a sunrise sky. I’ve had some amazing experiences in my 20s. As I celebrate my 30th birthday today, travelling in Mexico – how apt – I was inspired by Sara of Big World, Small Me, and Emma of Adventures of a London Kiwi to reflect on some fun and awe I’ve fitted into the first 20 years of my life!
