I love a good market. Always an exciting place to visit in a new city, they thrum with colour, noise and life. Although somewhat of a tourist spot, the Portobello Road Markets are no exception. I visited with Stacey on a sunny Saturday – yep that sunshine was continuing to stick around!
First up was a lunch stop. With a massive range of options from Vietnamese to Lebanese to burgers, we were in severe danger of dying of food envy, but settled on these delicious chicken marsala naan wraps, which disappeared in super short order.
We were lucky enough to stumble upon this awesome jazz band who were rocking it out – perfect lunchtime entertainment!
We wandered the eclectic collection of stalls from north to south, moving from souvenirs to clothes to food to antiques – and grabbing a delicious pastry on the way.
My favourite stall was full of vintage cameras – I wish I could give them all a home.
I still cannot get over all the brightly coloured buildings here – so cool!
All marketed out, we packed a small picnic and headed to the park with berries and rose to plan our next adventure.
