After an awesome night at Chime for Change, Stacey and I were not in the mood for anything too strenuous. As it was another beautiful London day, we decided to head to Hyde Park for a promenade. The paths and banks along the Serpentine were packed with people making the most of the sunshine, and we enjoyed people-watching at least as much as taking in the sights!
We made our way to the imposing Wellington Arch and the New Zealand war memorial. I am always affected by the simplicity of the memorial – in its own way it is stunning.
Next in our meander was Buckingham Palace – the Queen was at home but unfortunately not up for visitors, haha.
I loved seeing the Mall hung with British flags – very colourful!
I’m definitely starting to feel more at ‘home’ and settled here now – and this weather can stick around as long as it likes, this second summer business is awesome!
